Textured copper, “Snake” pendant. Reversible pendant.

This lovely and unusual pendant is made from textured copper clay. Made by me in Hertfordshire. Copper clay is finely ground, recycled copper that can be worked with just like clay. So great for taking texture and shape. It is then fired in a kiln to melt all the metal powder together. The central "snake" on this pendant is created by texturing the copper with a piece of lace leaving part untextured to form the snake. Pendant is 5cm long by 27mm wide( max) and is sold on a 18" brown waxed cord. The surface of the copper is protected with beeswax to maintain the patina.
